Hyrum Blessing Joseph F. Smith

When Hyrum Smith was a prisoner in Liberty Jail in the winter of 1839, his wife, Mary Fielding Smith, came to visit him with their newborn son, Joseph F. Smith.  They spent the night with Hyrum and the other prisoners, and one later source recounts that Hyrum Smith gave his newborn son a blessing under his hands at this time.  This image is one of the paintings for the book Repicturing the Restoration (2020) by Anthony Sweat.
